Three Predictions For The Future Of Renewable Energy

For more than a quarter of a century, Powergen Asia has served as Asia’s premier forum for the power generation industry. Attracting over 8,500 attendees from more than 60 countries and covering all forms of power generation, from conventional to renewable energy and other low-carbon options.

Kevin Warner was amongst the world’s most forward-thinking experts and innovators at the event in Kuala Lumpur, providing his insights into the challenge of transitioning workforces from conventional energy to renewable energy.

These were 3 key predictions from Kevin at Powergen Asia and Asian Utility Week.

  1. Over the next 15 years, upwards of 20% of global power will be met by solar or wind.
  2. Upwards of 20% of all miles travelled globally will use electric motors rather than gasoline or diesel.
  3. Accelerating the energy transition will require coordinated action across economic, technological and socio-political systems
