Capstone is committed to ensuring that our dealings with personal information regarding job-seekers, clients and others with whom we deal complies with the relevant privacy legislation in Australia and overseas.

COLLECTION

We collect information from you directly when you submit your CV online or hard copy, attend an interview or otherwise provide us with personal information in person or via email, telephone, fax, post.

Personal information may also be collected about you when:

  • You complete an application
  • We receive any reference about you
  • We receive results on medical check and criminal records
  • We receive results on any competency tests you undertake
  • We receive any complaint or other information from you or about you in the workplace
  • We receive any information about any insurance investigation, litigation, registration or professional disciplinary matter, criminal matter inquest or inquiry in which you are involved in
  • We collect information about you in public domain sources e.g. (LinkedIn, social media)

Personal information that we collect includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal contact details – e.g. name, email address, phone number
  • Career details – e.g. education, work history, qualifications, skills, references
  • Sensitive information - e.g. medical history, criminal record, WorkCover related information
  • High-risk personal information – e,g. tax file number, bank details, superannuation details, passport, driver’s license
  • Technical data – e.g. IP address, website usage data
  • Other information – rights, eligibility to work

Capstone collects, holds and uses your personal information where necessary for the purposes of:

  • Providing you with recruitment and work placement services.
  • Responding to queries.
  • Inviting you to events or sharing information with your consent.
  • Managing payroll and other payments.
  • Improving our services and website.
  • Complying with legal obligations.
  • We process your data based either on consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation, or legitimate interest.


DIRECT MARKETING

Direct Marketing involves the use or disclosure of personal information in order to communicate directly with an individual to inform you of products and services that may interest you. Capstone may communicate with an individual through different forms of communicate that include SMS, email, mail and telephone. In the event you do not wish receive such communications, you can request to opt- out via the contact details below.


DATA SECURITY

The personal information we collect is held electronically and hard copy format. We take steps to protect the personal information against misuse, interference, unauthorised disclosure and access. We will destroy any personal information that we no longer have any use for, other than information that we are required by law to preserve.


YOUR RIGHTS

In regards to your personal information, you have the right to:

  • Access and correct your personal information.
  • Request deletion or restriction of your data.
  • Request a copy of your data.
  • Object to certain types of processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information.

PRIVACY COMPLAINTS

Please direct all privacy complaints to Capstone Privacy Compliance Officer via the contact details below. We aim to acknowledge receipt of all complaints within 10 working days and aim to resolve all complaints with 30 working days, subject to circumstances and the content of the complaint.
