It offers a wide range of lifestyle activities and places to enjoy.

About the Role
The  Section Manager Health & Safety position is a critical role in helping to enable council to deliver exceptional services to the community of Central Coast. Reporting to the Unit Manager People and Culture, your role will involve the management of Council’s Self Insurance Work Health Safety Management Systems to ensure compliance with legislation and performance standards for Self-Insurers.

This role will work very closely in partnership with the senior management team to drive an organisational safety culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement, efficiencies, implementation evaluation and monitoring of WHS strategies, processes and practices. In broader terms, you will also be providing advice, support, coaching and guidance to ensure compliance and engagement across the whole of Central Coast Council.

About You
Come and Rewrite the Future.

We are seeking a highly motivated leader with extensive proven experience in a similar role within Local Government or working within large and complex self-insured organisations. You will also have demonstrable experience in developing and implementing work health and safety management and compliance frameworks, including developing policies, systems, processes, auditing and monitoring of programs.

As would be expected, strong communication skills are a must together with relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
