The Company
A genuine Australian-owned success story, this well-known retail brand, delivers a high quality healthy product, and is focused on delivering a significant growth strategy. With a new store format and exciting new offering, they are looking to expand their QLD property team by appointing a Network Development/Leasing Manager to support their retail expansion strategy. This role will be pivotal in driving their growth across QLD & Western Australia by identifying and securing prime stand alone locations, both freehold and leasehold.
  
The Role
As a Network Development Manager, your primary focus will be on accelerating this retailers growth by securing new stand alone sites to complement their existing footprint - that is predominantly within shopping centres and high streets. You will leverage your extensive experience in retail property development and site acquisition to strategically position their brand, a and ensure it remains at the forefront of the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the expansion of new standalone retail locations – this incudes leasehold, freehold and development (ie assume the landlord position) sites
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management to guide expansion planning and ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider property, design, and development network on strategies to secure optimal site locations.
  • Manage the pipeline of your secured new sites, ensuring projects are delivered to become operational
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases and feasibility studies to internal stakeholders and the executive team.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites, including financial viability, sales projections, and capital forecasting.
  • Oversee the acquisition process, from site selection to securing necessary approvals and finalizing lease agreements.
  • Navigate local government approval processes for new locations to ensure smooth project execution.
  
About You
  • Proven experience in retail property development and network expansion, SPECIFICALLY within a retailer or Landlord/Developer environment that has standalone sites (eg: supermarkets, QSR, gyms, petrol stations etc).
  • Strong negotiation skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Tertiary qualifications in property economics or a related field are preferred but not essential.
