About the Role:
Reporting to the Director Customer Operations; the Manager, Capital Works Program Delivery will be responsible for the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital works projects across NSW. This critical role will require strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Managing 4 x Project Managers and a Support Officer, the Manager, Capital Works will provide essential buildability understanding and program management overview for the business unit and support for the In-house Project Managers to ensure risk identification and mitigation, effective and efficient delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the delivery of capital works projects through the in-house team and sub consultants. Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide strategic input and initiatives for the Capital Works Program
  • Manage and allocate an annual (up to) $10M budget for capital works + additional grant money.
  • Develop and implement robust project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Projects:
Upgrades, refurbishment, and compliance projects for Office of Sport owned and managed Sports and Recreation Centres and Olympic Sports Venues. Individual projects will range up to $2M.

About You:
You will be a property industry professional with strong demonstrated experience in managing built environment projects and the planning, execution and delivery of programs of work valued from $10K to $5M. You will have experience working within complex organisational environments, engaging multiple stakeholders and demonstrating strategic judgement and leadership.

Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications in construction management, project management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering built environment capital works programs within a client-side environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic capability.
  • Current & valid driver’s licence
Remuneration:
  • NSW Government Clerk Grade 11/12 - $145,378 up to $168,130+ 11.5% Super & 17.5% Leave Loading
