About the Role:
Reporting to the Director Customer Operations; the Manager, Capital Works Program Delivery will be responsible for the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital works projects across NSW. This critical role will require strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Managing 4 x Project Managers and a Support Officer, the Manager, Capital Works will provide essential buildability understanding and program management overview for the business unit and support for the In-house Project Managers to ensure risk identification and mitigation, effective and efficient delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the delivery of capital works projects through the in-house team and sub consultants. Responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic input and initiatives for the Capital Works Program
- Manage and allocate an annual (up to) $10M budget for capital works + additional grant money.
- Develop and implement robust project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Upgrades, refurbishment, and compliance projects for Office of Sport owned and managed Sports and Recreation Centres and Olympic Sports Venues. Individual projects will range up to $2M.
About You:
You will be a property industry professional with strong demonstrated experience in managing built environment projects and the planning, execution and delivery of programs of work valued from $10K to $5M. You will have experience working within complex organisational environments, engaging multiple stakeholders and demonstrating strategic judgement and leadership.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications in construction management, project management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering built environment capital works programs within a client-side environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic capability.
- Current & valid driver’s licence
- NSW Government Clerk Grade 11/12 - $145,378 up to $168,130+ 11.5% Super & 17.5% Leave Loading
