The Role

The Community Utilities Division was formed in 2021 to deliver innovative and compliant utilities projects that protect the environment, meet the needs and the expectations of the community and to futureproof the growth of the Port Macquarie Hastings region.
As Director Community Utilities, you will be reporting directly to the CEO and will be part of the executive team of Council.
This position is pivotal in ensuring the strategic positioning of Council as a regional leader in the delivery of utility services.
The role provides comprehensive leadership across a Directorate responsible for both the strategic and operational delivery of Council’s core utilities and infrastructure services. This includes overseeing the planning, design, execution, and operational management of key projects that are integral to achieving Council's outcomes.
The position also directs Councils major infrastructure projects, including the Cowarra Water Supply Scheme and the Thrumster Wastewater Scheme, both of which are vital to securing the region's water future.
About You
You will be a true innovative pioneer in the sector, bringing extensive knowledge and experience in wastewater, water and waste management and compliance.
