The Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to lead the charge in driving development strategies across multiple projects. You’ll be responsible for overseeing everything from initial asset strategy to builder selection and project completion. With a focus on delivering results on time and within budget, this is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Development Strategies: Lead and manage strategies across all project stages, from asset strategy to securing builders, within sectors like living, education, retail, and industrial.
- Project Oversight: Oversee planning, administration, resourcing, and reporting for multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered within set timeframes and budgets.
- Team Leadership & Design Quality: Guide teams to deliver exceptional design quality, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure high performance across the board.
- Feasibility Assessments: Take a logical and evidence-based approach to reviewing development feasibility, identifying viable opportunities and maximizing potential across various asset types.
- Commercial Contract Management: Support with managing and negotiating commercial contracts for Joint Ventures, Land Sales, and Construction agreements, securing favorable terms and maintaining strong relationships with consultants and contractors.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team well-being and the development of standardized project management processes across multiple teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Proven experience in development management, particularly within the living, education, retail, and industrial sectors.
- Strong project management background, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and driving multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
- Ability to approach development feasibility with a logical and strategic mindset, identifying opportunities across multiple asset types.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
