Capstone is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Sykes to the Board as Non-Executive Director.

Maria brings with her a wealth of directly relevant experience gained from Executive and Board appointments held in Sydney, London and New York. Maria has operated extensively in Capstone’s core markets of Infrastructure and real estate and has been responsible for the design, development and management of some of the most iconic destinations in the world including the Sydney Opera House precinct, the Empire State Building and One World Trade Centre. Maria was also recently the COO of the NRL’s Rugby League World Cup and led the Women’s Rugby League World Cup.

“I am very excited to join Capstone, it has an excellent culture and a well-earned reputation built on integrity, professionalism and inclusion. We have a very similar view of the world and I am looking forward to helping ensure its continued growth and success.”  Maria remarked during an interview this month.

Maria will join Peter Barnes, (Ex Head of Real Estate at CBA ) Chairman, on the Board. “This is a wonderful demonstration of the maturity of the Capstone business and I welcome Maria to our Board and look forward to working with her,’’ said Peter.
