The Property Council of Australia held its annual Women in Property lunch today.

Magda Szubanski AO, one of Australia’s most loved personalities was special guest and host of the iconic lunch which was a sell-out event. Over 1500 guests enjoyed the uplifting afternoon celebrating Diversity.

Maria Sykes, Non-Executive Director of Capstone addressed the room, acknowledging the positive changes the Property Industry has made. “It is genuinely exciting to see so many talented females in the room and how much the industry has progressed.”

Maria continued “I joined Capstone because they are a company that believes passionately in diversity and inclusion. They understand that people are their best selves when they’re in a supportive and inclusive environment.”

Reflecting on the strength of her family throughout the 2 ^nd World War, challenges faced in society and professional inspirations, Magda spoke with candour and humour “You become brave by doing brave things” she said. Concluding “If you want to go fast, run on your own but if you want to go far, run together”.
