The Role
As Heritage Planner, you will advise on and manage the conservation and adaptation of heritage places whilst they work on capital works projects throughout NSW.
Duties will include:
- Apply statutory heritage and planning legislation and policies to heritage issues, particularly the Heritage Act 1977 and the Burra Charter
- Identify opportunities within constrained sites and provide strategic advice to design consultants
- Generate innovative options that conserve heritage assets in accordance with the Burra Charter
- Write Statements of Significance, Statements of Heritage Impact, Heritage Inventory Sheets and other heritage related reports
This is a 12 month contract paying $550 – $600/day + super.

Our client is a large government organisation located in the CBD. They are currently involved with numerous capital works projects throughout NSW.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will exhibit:
- Strong background working on Heritage-related project
- Strong knowledge of the Heritage Act 1977 and Burra Charter
- Architecture background ideal
- Excellent written and verbal communication
