Wentworth Community Housing provides secure, appropriate and affordable housing as well as the support required for people to sustain that housing. Wentworth is a not-for-profit organisation that manages approximately 2,200 properties with the majority located in the districts of Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Blacktown and the Hills Shire.
  
The organisation has developed a three-year strategic plan that positions them for a strong period of growth, with a critical objective to increase the supply of social and affordable housing for eligible people on low to moderate incomes. Strongly committed to Western Sydney, they are passionate about increasing the housing supply and creating pathways to affordable housing, and also reducing homelessness. 

This position will lead a small team, working collaboratively across the organisation and with key external industry stakeholders. The role will focus on working innovatively and commercially to create and deliver a pipeline of development projects that will allow Wentworth to further build a significant portfolio of properties.
  
This leadership role is responsible for creating and implementing the development strategy which will support the demand for increased social and affordable housing in Western Sydney. The role will manage Wentworth’s property acquisition and development program with commercial rigour and astuteness, particularly relating to the financial feasibility of potential projects.
  
To be considered, you must have a proven record of successful leadership in a property development role. Those with broad residential and innovative property development expertise will be highly regarded. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex contracts. Superior interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are essential to the success of the role along with a passion to work in the social and affordable housing industry.
