Our client is a >100 year old world-leading systems technology business, with an Australian turnover of $350M along, notably built from scratch over the last 12 years.
With an impressive array of services and products, they develop & design, through to construct, operate and maintain systems on various infrastructure forms, including transport on road & rail and traffic.
Locally, they have a large project with Transport for NSW on mega road and tunnel projects and a tram of sensational managers.

This role will have you responsible for planning and producing all design and system integration of control and electro-mechanical systems in Ventilation in transport tunnels.
With as little as 2 years experience, you could be earning a salary in excess of $100,000, naturally more experience and a wider skill set carries a higher pay packet. It’s quickly to $130,000 with 4 years experience.
As a Project Engineer, you will need to
- Develop specific design items or subsystems under the scope of works
- Technical and commercial requirements review and analysis;
- Review vendors specs, technical info & data sheets
- liaise with clients and vendors on design & construction aspects
To be a successful candidate, your background will include
- the planning, development, design, integration and delivery of technology within ITS/Tunnel projects
- the design, configuration, and testing of related devices, including Vehicle Detection Loops, Ramp Metering, Tunnel Closure, Driver Advisory Signals
- holding experience with systems configuration
- conducting testing and commissioning
- Site/technical support experience
- plus having the willingness to conduct complex troubleshooting tasks.
Experience in the Interurban Traffic transport infrastructure sector with Zephyr for Jira Software knowledge well regarded, though not crucial.

You will need Bachelor Studies in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or similar.
